- Birmingham are experimenting with scorpion venom to
treat a particularly insidious form of brain cancer.
``Gliomas'' is a form of brain cancer in which brain
cells grow rapidly out of control. It's very difficult to
treat and usually deadly within two years. Lab and animal
tests are promising and the school is asking federal
approval for tests on humans.
